What governments are doing

All governments have adopted temporary measures to ensure the continuation of their activities. In many cases, there has been an increased use of technology for video conferencing, secure file transfer and documentation review, at the highest standards of due diligence. We continue to have an open dialogue with them and adjust our processes as new things come to light.

In many cases, foreign direct investments derived from residency and citizenship by investment programs are of high importance to the countries — and now more than ever, are much needed. Investors not only make decisive steps towards securing their position for the next crisis, but they will also extend much-needed support to their host countries.

• The Montenegro Citizenship by Investment Program has adjusted its processing in a way that the Intermediary Agents can submit applications for admission to Montenegrin citizenship without interruptions.
• The Dominica Citizenship by Investment Program has started to accept complete applications uploaded through an online portal, which will be used to commence due diligence procedures.
• The Grenada Citizenship by Investment Program has started to accept online applications through Dropbox while the Immigration and Passport Office remain open for emergency purposes.
• The St.Kitts and Nevis Citizenship by Investment Program has begun accepting applications electronically, and have also noted that given certain delays, due diligence processing may take up to 2 months.
• The Montenegro Citizenship by Investment Program has extended the validity of all documents for up to 12 months.
• All other programs are also accepting applications, making adjustments to meet current demands without any delays.
