Arton Capital to host panel on Mobility and the Power of Passports at the 2019 Concordia Annual Summit in New York, with Hon. Gaston Browne, Prime Minister of Antigua & Barbuda, the Hon. Dr. Timothy Harris, Prime Minister of St Kitts & Nevis, and the Hon. Hashim Thaçi, President of Kosovo.

The 2019 Concordia Annual Summit, held in New York on September 22 to 24th, will feature distinguished speakers, including Her Majesty Rani al Abdullah, Queen of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan; Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda, Gaston Browne; Prime Minister of St Kitts & Nevis, Dr Timothy Harris; José Manuel Barroso, Former President of the European Commission and non-executive Chairman of Goldman Sachs International; and Filippo Grandi, UN High Commissioner for Refugees, United Nations, among others.

As partners of the 2019 Concordia Annual Summit, happening concurrently on UNGA week, Armand Arton will moderate a panel on Mobility and the Power of a Passport, joined by the Hon. Gaston Browne, Prime Minister of Antigua & Barbuda, the Hon. Dr. Timothy Harris, Prime Minister of St Kitts & Nevis, and the Hon. Hashim Thaçi, President of Kosovo.

Among other things, the panel will discuss the transformation of the passport from a travel document to a powerful policy and economic tool; the positive correlation between the high mobility ranking of a passport and the economic development of the country it is representing; the economic progression a country is experiencing when a passport’s mobility ranking increases; and to what extent these developments have been acknowledged by governments, and the various strategies each is implementing in this regard.
