As of October 13th, 2010, the Quebec’s Ministry of Immigration and Cultural Communities (MICC) has stopped accepting applications under the Quebec Immigrant Investor Program. The moratorium will be in force until the parameters for the new program on federal and provincial levels are adopted. We expect that the new Immigrant Investor Program will re-open late 2010 or early 2011.
In the meantime, the number of Immigrant Investors wishing to establish a Second Residence and Citizenship is at all time high. Since two of the most popular Business Immigration Programs are temporarily closed, it is important for clients to evaluate all other reputable options.
